GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and is a law that takes effect May 25, 2018 pertaining to data protection and privacy of client data. It is a law originating in the European Union; however, thousands of US companies are affected and you might be one of them.
If you collect or process data of EU citizens or people living in EU countries, you are probably affected by this law. We can’t give legal advice, so we can’t really get into the details, but we can tell you there are HUGE fines for non-compliance, not to mention loss of client trust.
