NAP in SEO stands for Name, Address, and Phone number. In the last few years, Google has been placing more and more emphasis on the importance of NAP in search results rankings. What can you do to help this aspect of search? Here are a few tips:
Make sure your Company name, address, and phone number are correct on all web listings. Google any old discontinued phone numbers to see if they are still hanging around. Then visit the site and figure out how to contact them to update the information. Google all of your old addresses and do the same thing. If you have changed your company name, do the same thing for old company names.
Googling an old phone number of mine, 408-490-4477, yielded a problem for me on yellowpages.com.
When Google sees consistent, accurate listings, you’re all set.
DUNS Number
One source of business information is Dun & Bradstreet. They assign DUNS numbers to each business. DUNS stands for data universal number system. IF you don’t have a DUNS number or don’t know yours, contact D&B to get listed and/or update your information.

Advicelocal.com produces a nice NAP visibility report for free. I haven’t tried their products as of this writing, but they will give you some ideas on where you need to add profiles, which you can do yourself. https://www.advicelocal.com/
You can definitely help us rank your site higher by checking and completing these listings. You should not have to pay any of these sites. Unfortunately, we cannot do this for you since it should be done from your IP address, your phone, and/or your email – there are many email validations as you go through this. We’re happy to discuss this with you, however, especially if you have an issue that needs clearing up, because that will affect your search results, so feel free to reach out anytime.
