For All Web Package clients:

We upgrade our server hardware every two years or so, and we just completed the migration to a new, faster West Coast server for all clients on the Western half of the U.S. Yesterday, I bought a new, faster server for the East Coast and we’ll be starting the migration of websites for clients on the Eastern side of the U.S. The process could take a couple of months.

It’s all good news to you, because Google likes speed.

Individual site moves will be done before you can blink and there should be no measurable downtime. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you the exact timing of each site or it would take us forever.

Action Requested

If you are not making your own updates to your site –and– we have access to your domain account, you do not need to do anything.

1. If you’re making your own extensive website changes, please reach out so we can coordinate. I know this is not the case for 99% of you.

2. If we don’t have the current password to your domain account or you have 2FA turned on, we’ll need to coordinate so we can access your domain account. Let us know the best time to connect to get this done.

3. I n the highly unlikely case that you have hard-coded your website IP address into a program, app, or something else, please let us know. Your website IP will change.
